  • back-to-back blogs.

    When I was a little girl.  We had a plum tree that leaned over our county road.   It was so much fun to climb up in that tree and throw plums at the road.   We'd even throw them at cars....

    We didn't actually mean to hit the car.   Just see how close we could get to it.

    Okay country kids have a strange sense of entertainment.

    Now I wasn't truely stupid, and I didn't tell Samuel this story.  BUT

    He was just tattled on by Zeria 'cause he was throwing apples at a car...and apparently hit one.    The car didn't stop, so I'm hoping we're not paying for the dent.

    And me?

    I was trying not to laugh.

    Cause I remember doing that.

    So parenting 101 demanded that I say I was upset about it.   I did.   But I didn't discipline him.   Although we discussed it wasn't to happen again.  And I believe he was truely scared about it all.

    Edit;

    Apparently the car *did* stop.  And the lady told the kids "Did you know I could call the cops?"

    Zeria just informed me of this.

    Its just a good day.

    Man I wish I could have talked to her....life is just so much fun.

  • I'm sure she was just putting on a show to get the kids to not do it again.

    I think doing that is part of normal growing up. Cars make wonderful targets!

  • my older brother when he was a kid was throwing rocks off of this big hill we have in our backyard and was trying to see how far he could throw them.....hit a car and the driver stopped and had to pay for the damages :)
