  • Today is....drum roll please.  My last official day of bedrest.

Man has it been a long ride...or should I say sit?   The next week I will work at slowly taking my body back.   When one has sat this long everything is mush.   So I will start with 1 block hikes, and slowly build up steam.

I'm waiting to start my paint projects until this weekend or so.

My husband *ahem* *cough*  *blush*  will be waiting until the weekend as well.  He would like it to be just a bit longer before the baby is born.  But trust me he's counting down.  (is that oversharing????)

Kids had a bad get-to-sleep-night last night.   I was mostly asleep when I had to get up and remind them screaming was not acceptable.  That was at 10:30.   *growls*

See Shadow I'd be perfectly content to just let them play quietly all night...but quiet isn't their option.   They'd prefer to play tag or something all night.

The good news was a once in a 3 month thing occured this morning.  Rainee *gasp* slept in.   So I didn't have to get out of bed until 7:10 this morning.  I feel positively spoiled.     snicker

Of course Samuel woke up by opening his window wide and crowing like a rooster out the window.   My pooooooooor neighbours.

Rob should be home tonight about 5ish.   I'm hoping to make apple salsa for  him.   We've not had it before, but it intrigued both of us.  And I have all the ingredients.  If it turns out I'll post the recipe.   I've been staring at the ingredients all weekend, but wanted to do it when he was here.   I can almost guarantee the kiddos will think its nasty.  ROFL.

Oh and if I could e-mail apples...I would.  We have soooooooooooooo many of them.  Thus the desperation of experimenting with apple salsa.  *snicker*    Soon I will have to load up some laundry baskets full of apples and go to my parents and use their cider press.  It seems a shame to let them waste.

Had a nice run to Walmart.  Kids were well behaved.  Then we went and played at a park where I don't have to get out of the car.  And then McD's for lunch, and a visit to grandma's property.   We were *supposed* to be watching the men put their house together.  (modular)  But once again the men didn't show.   My mom was in tears.   They've been putting her off for 2 months.  And she's called a 3 county range and can find NOBODY else to do it.    Mom and dad have the heavy equipment to do it themselves.  And are about tempted to try it.    In the meantime my brother is being driven an hour one way to get to ps.  They thought they'd be living in that district when school started so enrolled him.  They aren't.  *growls*

They might be at their property today.  And we might go visit again.  Grandma was muttering about bringing the quads.  The kids would really, really like it if they could do that.  They LOOOOOOOOVE the quads.  Only Mari prefers twad rides versus quad rides.

Other then that just same-old stuff.  Ignore the dirt I can't clean, Attempt to prevent children from creating more dirt, and stare at the wall.

    Have a day all!

  • Playing quietly is no fun! There has to be screaming involved for there to be enjoyment

You have too many apples and we have too much watermelon. Wanna swap some? We also have lots of pears.

  • Hi, just got back from Awana. My dh iis the leader of  the T and T boys group (3-6th grade) and I did a lesson for counsel time. I'm a former public school teacher who said I would never home school or send my kids to private Christian school...and then I became a mom! I totally get it now. I love your perspective. And your love for your kids. And you're having a baby soon? PTL.
