Morning!
Its been a bed-kind of weekend. The contractions I mentioned on my last blog. Reappeared Saturday. And wouldn't go away. They were strong and consistent. Finally at 5 in the evening I called my midwife and spent the next 3 hours at the hospital getting tests.
My cervix is soft, but no dialation. I passed all the tests. But am in a fair amount of pain. So the baby's safe...I'm just miserable. I'm officially on bed-rest. Not the modified kind.
So my internet time is stolen minutes.
I'm taking 800 mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours in an attempt to keep the pain at bay, and slow the contractions down. I've so been here done this before. Coming after a three and a half week break of no contractions however was a TON discouraging.
I'm watching the kids by myself. Their old enough to "help" with meals etc. And the mid-wife is okay with me being up for a few minutes at a time. PBJ's are about to become our friends. LOL Actually the kids can also do ramen, mac & cheeze, hot dogs, and chicken nuggets. *snicker* So we won't starve. Just get rather tired of kid fare.

I have chicken chimichangas hiding for me in the freezer as "real" food.
The baby at the moment is taking priority. I hope to sneak onto the boards a few minutes now and then. But at the first contraction I'm disappearing...........So I beg everybody's endulgance.
Good news is baby is quite safe. But we'd all rather it stay inside for at least 5 more weeks. Good news is I've done this with each of my pregnancies so its "normal." But at the same time the contractions WERE registering on the monitors. The nurses could feel them. I'm not making em up.
And we don't want to encourage them.....
Prayers as always are appreciated.

It is good that your kiddos can help you!! Have a good day and get LOTS and LOTS of rest!!
