Kaylin's blood work came back.  It is confirmed she does have hypothyroidism.   The extra tests "proved" she has it.  But not enough to treat.

    *GROWLS*

I'm still not completely understanding it.    But the good news is.  Is God's timing is perfect.   Their is a endocrinologist from Seattle who visits once every three months to save parents driving that way.  He's coming to our clinic on Friday.  Dr. Weller squeezed in an appointment for us...

at 7:15 in the morning.  EWWWWW!

But maybe their will be answers there... One could hope!!!

It will apparently get worse, and then we can treat it.  (isn't that encouraging)

After Friday if I still don't have "medical" help for Kaylin...I will investigate doing some natural suppliments to increase her energy.   Her lack of it is just not cool.   And not fair for her to have to deal with life that way.

Bad day for pain.  LOTS of contractions this morning.   And now my back is spasming.  And no sunshine.   So ewwwwwwwww

Rainee has a nasty cold.   It has played with going into her lungs, but so far her meds are preventing it from doing that.   Her nose however is sooooooo ewwwwwwww!

Other then that life moves on.

Oh and peanut was quite put out with Rainee last night.  I laid her on my stomache to nurse her yesterday.  And peanut wigged out, kicking, and thrashing in my stomache to get her off.   It was all very funny.

Jealousy starts early apparently.    That or Peanut didn't like to be squished...

Oh yes and Peanuts name will either be Jeremiah Cole, or Brooke Anne.  (anne still being partially up for debate)

  • A friend of mine had hypothyroidism - she wound up having to have surgery when she was in her early 20's.

One fact that may have delayed treatment with her is that her doctor(s) had not sent her bloodwork for that particular condition until a year or two before her surgery.

  • :sunny: I like the baby names you've chosen!

  • Now those are awesome names wink

Good luck to you with Kaylin. That clinic was never any hep to me. Grrrr....

  • Yay for Brooke, my Princess is Brooke Lynn

  • Hypothyroidism sucks. I inherited it from women on both sides of my family and have been on daily medication for it since high school. I can't imagine what that exhaustion must feel like for a little kid.

Part of my brain is piping up "Give her Jolt Cola! That'll give her energy!" I should point out I'm not a parent and I fully expect to know better caffeine + little ones by the time I need to. ;)
