Month: March 2004

  • Sooooooooo  the blog of the day is here

    My husband read it, and we laughed way too hard.  Possibly cause we have a child like that.

    So, today I'm the one feeling icky.  It'll go away right?

    Kaylin we decided yesterday had given into her allergies mommy keeps not going to the doctor for.   So after finishing a book ironically enough I bought to read for Rainee...we've started using some saline spray in her nose.   Its nasty stuffies, but works.   So we'll give it a couple days to clean out her nose...and i need to haul her to a doctor and get her on a allergy med.

    Ever wonder why the black racoon eyes mean allergies?  I did....I knew thats what it meant, but I didn't understand why it meant that.    Well she's had them for months, that and lethargy depending on the day.   It means that a individuals sinus' are all swollen up and blocked.   Great.     So time to try some singulair, or zyrtec for her.   And Zeria's allergys are in full season and we're having to use albuterol for her, so have to get her back on Singulair...and she's been off it for a long time.

    There really must be something in the air.

    Rainee is potty training herself.   She took her clothes off, put the potty seat up on the toilet and climbed up.  NObody prompted her.  So we've ditched her diaper and are letting her go for it.   Today I will run to Goodwill..or tomorrow depending on my energy level...and we will get her some play dresses...its how we trained Kaylin and worked well.

    Had a lovely time r/p'ing on Saturday...and am rather suprised to see my main character do a slight metamorphasis.........ponders where its going.

    Other then that life happens.

    Have a day.  Oh and go read that blog...you need a laugh!

  • Ya'll need a laugh right?

    The good news is this laugh didn't cost us $300 with the septic guy.

    Anyhow late yesterday our septic system started backing up into our lawn.

    We had this little escape hatch thingy about 4 inches wide that the lid was off of.

    My mom told us to put a hose down it and see if it was clogged.

    So Rob did this afternoon.

    And then he got in the other end and started pulling stuff out.

    Drum roll please.

    3 sticks, 2 rocks, 1 airplane, 1 Bob the tomato, 1 ball, 1 "kids" fishing pole.    Yeup it was clogged snigger.

    The lid is now back on....and I just can't stop laughing....

  • Mornin'

    Well woke up got dressed came out to living room where DH and the kids were.   And was informed Kaylin's sick.    She's apparently thrown up twice and is laying on the couch with tears in the corners of her eyes.

    Guess I'll be home today.  Which is fine....I'm anti-social anyhow.  DH and the rest of the munchi's will go to church.   And of course Sunday's the slowest day online....so guess I'll have to find a book.

    Actually I have one...thanks to Barnes and Nobles on Thursday points down, or up as the case may be.

  •

    So here's the end result of our yard project.   Don't worry we didn't collect all of the rocks today.  *grin*  The rocks in the "sidewalk"  We did umm last summer??  or earlier.   Some of the rocks down by the mail box we did about 4 months ago.   And then a week ago I got the brilliant idea to connect the two.  I'm very happy with the result.

    The pictures kinda funky on my site.  If you click on it its gets a bit bigger and you can see the details better....

  • woo hoo xanga's workin'

    So we got snow last night...and rain, and snow, and rain and snow at the same time.   It was lovely.  None of the dang stuff stuck however.  And this makes me very happy.   This time last year we got a foot in 24 hours.  I'd rather not go there again tankee.   My daffodills are 8 inches up...I'd rather them not die again.

    Rob and the kids and I finished lining our drive way with rocks.  It looks lovely.   Our yard is beginning to look like  yard, instead of a country field.

    Rob and I went on date night last night.   But I was pretty sore and didn't enjoy it much.  HOt tub was lovely when I got home.   All the driving on Thursday did me in.

    This morning we're gonna get a couple more loads of rock to finish lining the front grass.   This is our poor mans fence...snicker.   And stops the big wheels and balls from going into the ditches.   Also gives us a idea of where the lawn is supposed to be.  Maybe I'll take pictures later.  Cause I actually do like the way it looks.

    Oh the rock?  We're just going along a logging road and finding nice big ones.   So its a 100% free project.  *grin*

    Rainee has a cold, snotty nose etc.   It twould be very nice if it didn't go in her lungs...I somehow doubt it.

    And this, is my latest character.  *grin*   Had her siggy for awhile, but waiting for the right time to introduce her.   *beams*

  • Hey world country bumpkin goes to Seattle.

    Guess what I did today?  I got lost in a parking garage.   Not lost trying to find my car.  Lost trying to find the exit.  All the floors look the same, and round and round I went.  It only took me 20 minutes to get out.  Do I get a stupidity sign for this???

    Survived Seattle other then that little fiasco.  Rainee got car sick on the way over.   So that blew out her first outfit.   And answered some of our questions as to why she's always so fussy in the car.   She actually was a remarkable traveller considering her past record.

    Second outfit was blown out at 10:45 (majorly nasty exploding diaper.  :-X)

    And I only brought two.  OH dang...had to go to the gap clearance rack and get her sumfin' else.

    So got her a cute little shirt and pants for under $20.   And then we did a imprompto swallow study...and yeup blew out that outfit too.   Hopes I can recover the nice pink stains on it...

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
    So those are the personal details.   In a nutshell.  I may blog more later, just so tired.    I left the lights on while waiting for the ferry.   And after waiting for over 45 minutes went to start the car and it was dead.    BAngs head soundly on steering wheel.  Rainee's screaming,  cars dead...and everybody wants past me.  Missed that ferry.     Nice ferry guy jumped car for me.   And I missed getting on by 5 cars.
    So had to entertain Rainee for another 45 minutes until the next ferry.   My car...it looks like it entertained Rainee.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Medically wise  we revisted the swallow study.   And she passed it...sorta.   She is aspirating...but its very clear liquids.   And they can't test with those.   So we're gonna try adding thick-it awhile and see if it improves her breathing.   And ironically enough on the swallow study we caught a WHOLE bunch of refluxing....which she's passed two major reflux studies.  But we KNEW she was.   The reflux tests are very unreliable.   So we're gonna be investigating to see what can be done to improve this.

    The problem is...is the swallow study tech isn't qualified for reflux.  But it WAS very obvious.   So I'm gonna talk to our local ped and see what he thinks.

    The reason we pursue this is...reflux is the number one reason for wheezing.  If we could get her reflux under control maybe we could cut back steroids.  This would make one mommy VERY happy.

    So all in all the day was extremely profitable.    Now...just to incorporate some more inconveniences into our lives.

  • Okies headed to bed...

    Swimming was fun.

    And tomorrow...well I'll survive it.

    Details when i get back.

  • So this is what I've been doin' off and on for several weeks.   Have two pages to add...one for Justin's bonding, and one for Sharee's.   But other then that tis all finished.   And I'm quite pleased with it.

    If anybody finds links that don't work could ya holler??  thanks

  • Good afternoon...

    Well God protected me from one major blunder.  Three weeks ago I scheduled a pulminologist appointment for Rainee...and was fortunate enough to get a cancellation.

    I had compeltely and totally forgotten about it until Rob and I got into a discussion about health insurance...and a slight panic when he misread a letter and thought they wouldn't pay for Dr. R.

    "Well, I'm going soon, so you need to deal with it."  I said in a slight panic.   And then I said  "I'm going March 4th".   And then FINALLY it dawned on me today is March 3rd.  *snicker*  Sooooo   a quick panicked call to my mother, and my kids are safely rearranged, but me I'm still kinda going bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.    I usually have more time to mentally prepare, and now there it is staring upon my face.

    I can do this.  right?    And tonight I had already promised my kids we were going to the pool in place of Awana.  And growl I can't get out of it.   So I'm really rather wondering where the energy is coming from.   Of course I had carbs for breakfast this morning...so my mind is rather fogged anyhow.   And not even sugar just a nice white flour croisant.   And I've been dealing with the effects for like 3 hours now.   Guess I won't do that again.

    On a better note...I just have to share this.

    Rainee likes to help dad do the books.      She just looks like this official secretary.  ROFL

    So, I'm gonna go surf the boards, and stare blankly, and plan dinner.   And pretend like I really am looking forward to going to Seattle.

  • Good morning

    Gorgeous blue sky outside and frickin' cold.   Tried to go for a walk with the kids, but Zeria crashed her bike and got a boo-boo and was fairly hysterical so we gave up and turned around.

    Kids and I have no plans for today.   Should go to the bank, but not sure if I will.   Rather feelin' lazy today.

    Thinkin' and prayin' for a couple people who are watching a life-decision being made that will effect them way too much.   Wish I could do something....

    And blog block...so I'll try again later...
