Morning.
We survived our flights back, and all the varying switches in transportation we had to make to get here. We counted up the modes of transportation we'd been in and found it equaled 7. *snicker*
Rainee wasn't nearly as angelic on the way back....but then the plane was delayed two hours so that didn't help.
Everybody is very glad to be home, and all the kids are reestablishing the "rules". In other words we're all fighting for a pecking order. *snigger*
Zeria got in trouble at sil's house. When I found over what I started sniggering. SIL thought it was a big deal...I rather found it funny...I don't think I'll mention that to her.
Her and her cousin took a wax candle and a cheeze grater and grated the wax all over the carpet. And then the sun came and melted it into the carpet. I personally thought it was quite an engenious science experiment. (cackles madly) But then I didn't have to clean it up. Oh and I got rid of all my carpet years ago. SIL didn't seem overly ticked by it, but definitely looked tired.
Other three were apparently saints....Rob asked my mom if she was talking about the same kids. Don't worry their making up for it today.
Trip to California. It was good, but I'm glad to be home. Why are motel beds always so hard?? The flowers in California were gorgeous. And ironically I took no pictures of them. What was up with that?? Mostly it was cause in order to get close it woulda meant trampeling through somebodys fields or sumfin'. Just imagine lots of exotic flowers k?
Just cruised through all my pictures and was rather disgusted to see most of my beach pictures didn't turn out very well. Oh well, I've got the memories right?
This one however I thought was nice....This was one of the only beaches that only had one or two people on it. Possibly because it was 8 am when we were there.
I couldn't get over everything being sooooooooooooooooo crowded.
The thing I *did* take way way too many pictures of was houses. Cause their was just the most incredible houses. Rich people man! Hit F11 on these to get the detail. They are just so over-the-top creative.
Here's the two sides of the "curved" house. I didn't know how to label these. They were just "residents" But oh my goodness. These particular ones were in Carmel. Rich-man's-land. With lots of looky lous just like me taking pictures. *cackles madly*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And another fancy house.
and one last one (for now) snicker
Have way more pictures LOL But out of patience. *grin* Will pick and choose through the rest later and pull out some more.
My favorites I think are of the Carmel Mission. It was a beautiful old building and the history was intriguing. So be prepared *grin*
Cruised the boards...apparently I got mostly caught up on them on Sunday. So I have a bright blue sky day ahead of me, and tons of laundrys and stuffs to put away, and meds to pick up, and kids to hug, and life moves on.
And I'm feeling pretty ready to face it...which means the vacation must have done its job.
Ooo! Those houses are so cool! I like that first one.
And California is crowded? Oh come visit me... it's not crowded at all. It's just worse the further south you go I think. *g* :sunny:
nice houses! they look a lot like the richies down here! only difference, ours have tons of Palm trees in the yards. Hoepfully the pecking order will resume fast for ya. hey, why not do the candle thing with your kids now and time the wax to see how long it will melt:laugh::giggle::lol:
I love those round and stone cottages! Glad you returned safely. :heartbeat:
:goodjob: Cool pictures! I love looking at houses too! Glad you had a good trip. :sunny:
Great pictures!
Sounds like an awesome trip! What awesome houses. I love to look at different style of architecture...and I always wonder WHAT those people do for a living.
