  • men and boys are thick.  Thick I say!

    Bangs head on table.

Samuel pick up the toy by your toe.

Samuel turns around and walks three feet away.  "Where is it mommy?"

Samuel by where your toe WAS.  "Oh!"   Sam walks back to where he was and picks up the wrong toy.

    Case example two.

Mari turn the tv on please.  Mari walks over to the tv and pushes the button furthest away from the power button.  "This one mommy."  No Mari the one all the way on the other side."  He moves one button over.

"This button mommy?"  No Mari farther over.

He goes back to the first button.  "This button mommy?"

Rainee walks up.  Rainee is 22 months old.  She puts her hand in the right corner but doesn't push hard enough.  Push the button that Rainee's touching.   Mari moves back to the second button he was on.  "This button mommy?"

    GAH!

Rainee turns the tv on the second try.

    Case point 3.

Well, Kaylin doesn't have a single matching pair of shoes.  I've looked everywhere.    She's wearing Zeria's boots to church.  I'm too tired to care...but later I go look.

Less then a foot from where they belonged (after DH has looked all over the house)  are two sets of matching shoes.  TWO!

    Case point 4

Sam go put your pjs on.  Sam goes into the room to get his pjs.  Comes back out in 30 seconds. "I don't have pjs."   "You weren't in their long enough to look, go back."  HE goes back and stares for a LOOOONG time.   "I don't have pjs."  he says looking helplessly male at all of 5 years of age.

So I sigh and go look.  Yup, their they are right in his pj drawer amazing how that works.

    Case number 5

Sam go get a paper towel and wipe your face.  Their on the island.  Sam goes to the kitchen counter...walking PAST the paper towels to get there.   And stares blankly at the counter.  One wonders if he remembers what he's looking for.  "Sam their behind you on the island."   "OH!"  he says and grabs them.

    Thick I tell ya!

Should I go on??????   Or maybe you can continue on with your men and boy stories in my comments...I need a laugh.

nevermind...I'm depressing myself.  cackles madly.   These go on every day all day.   Men and boys are thick I tell ya.  THICK.

    And we love them WHY?????

  •   And I thought it was just Caleb! LOL  Of course it drives Dh crazy too, but he's been known to do the same thing...(just don't tell him I said that. LOL)

Oh, and I still like your background.

  • LOL My soon-to-be-ex gives me plenty of examples...he's beyond thick

Is there hope for these males? So far, my son has seen plenty of examples of what NOT to do when he grows up. Oh, they have there good points, well, some of them do anyway

  • I really (I mean really) enjoyed this blog.  Devon is as sharp as a tack but dh.....

watching him take Devon to school these past few days is hgilarious.  Thsi morning I said as they were leaving, "her face is dirty..." where?  "Um here here and HERE'.  OH.  LOL

then he says - how did you get the stroller out of the classroom I had to get ALL THE CHIDLREN TO MOVE (!) - me: darling you have to go around the back way or get out before the bell when they all run to sit on the mat, thereby blocking the doorway. dh: OH

Oh, and now I ignore him if he cant find his wallet or keys....

  • Yes, yes and yes.  If I want to make sure DH doesnt find something, I will stick it on the first shelf in the fridge, because apparently the blinding light makes him....um....blind!

And Justin isnt much better.  Nothing is urgent to boys and men....they'll get to it when they get to it. wink:p

  • ROFL  a blog I can relate to.... happened just tonight.  Told Chas to get his shoes on so he can go to church with daddy.  "Mommy put them in the living room... can you find them?"  Chas runs to HIS room, comes back and says "Too High."  I tell dh to help him find them, dh is pacing the floor because he wants to be gone already.  I also say AGAIN, they are in the living room... I brought them in there just a minute ago.  DH looks around the living room, not moving his feet, then goes to Chas' room.  He comes back and says, I can't find them.  Are they in his locked cabinet.  I say for the 3rd time, they are in the living room.  I brought them in there just a minute ago.  Dh AGAIN looks around the room, without moving his feet, and states that they are NOT in there.  I put down the washcloth being used on Matt's face, make the baby hold her own bottle, and walk in the living room.  I spot the shoes the minute I walk in the room.  They are in PLAIN sight, within 1 foot of where dh has been standing.

I Agree.. men are THICK and they start YOUNG!!!!
