Month: January 2004

  • Oh that was just so much fun.  a 20 minute drive turned into 45 minutes of creeping on ice and grooves in the road.

    And then 2 hours at Walmart waiting for the idiots who pass as "service" people to do their job.

    Boring being at Walmart when you can't spend money.     Got all educated on a 6 month old people magazine.  (sarcasm drips here)

    And now I'm tired, and my husband has shared his cold.  I'm caught up on the boards.   And BORED.  So guess I'll go "nap" on the couch while my kids watch tv....its a good way to live dangerously.

    bwahahaha

  • So, the cold continues, the lack of pipes continues, and DH has to go to work.

    Creeping into town (I hope) to get him tires for his car.  (ponders where the money is coming from.)  And then he's pulling a double.  So theirs good liklihood I won't see him until Wednesday.

    Trapped in a house with 5 kids.  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!   Be expecting weird and wondrous posts.  bwahahaha.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    On a side note.  You know its cold when you get in the hot tub.  And after a couple minutes your hair is got ice in it.  Yup its cold.  And this just NEVER happens in Washington.  Alberta?  yes.  Washington definitely not.  Forgotten how it felt.
    BRRRRRRRRRRR
  •
    Cat's new face....for now.  *grin*
  • wellllllllll its 16 degrees outside.  And brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  And for the first time since I bought this house our pipes are frozen.  *growl*
    Our driveway has a foot of snow on it give or take....and the blockade from the snow plow is about 2 foot high.  We're not going to church today..........
    If we're still without water after lunch my dad with his lovely 4 wheel drive will come bring us water and his propane heater to thaw things out.
    So, know why the water froze this time around.  #$@*(*#*  My lovely DH dug a ditch a couple months ago so as to stop the water going under our house, and got a wee bit over ambitious in his digging.  He exposed about 5 inches of pipe, and left it exposed.  *sigh*  We currently have a heating pad wrapped around it...........
    He grew up in winter weather what in the heck was he thinking?
    Bites tongue.
    Bites it harder.
    And OUCH! its not working
  • We have snnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnow!
    We've had little bits since Christmas day nite.  But now we have "real" snow.  So nanner nanner nanner Photo Quilter.
    We have between 6 and 8 inches.  And its beautiful.    And have no need to go anywhere as its DH's days off, so we can enjoy without worry.
    That funny thing that looks like rabbit ears in the middle of the picture...its one of the kids big wheels.  *giggles*
    So plan for today?  Hot chocolate, computer, books, and sledding.
    Have a great day y'all
  • Good morning....oops Good afternoon.  *giggles*
    I woke up cranky.  And I don't mean one of my kids.  *snicker*  And proceeded to attempt to make everyone else in the house feel that way.  OOPS.   It looked like at first I was going to get to run-away and that made things worse.  And then situations changed and phew I did!  *cheers wildly*   I feel ever so much better now.  Wasn't gone long, less then two hours, but oh did I need it.
    Had a lovely breakfast with too much food.   And went to the fabric store.   I picked up some material to cover my two chairs and they look soooooooo much nicer.  I *gasp* almost have matching furniture now.   Their just being used as slip covers, but hey they needed it!
    Played with psp, and created this for Barbara my rp giant.   Not quite as happy with it as I was G'dens, but still like it.
    eye candy *grin*
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Gonna attempt to see LOTR tonight....saying attempt 'cause we already tried once and it was sold out.  Here goes nothing....LOL

    Continuing to purge junk.  I can't believe how much stuff I've saved 'cause I "might" use it some day.  Today I purged a box of picture frames....most of them were without glass.   It was the equivilant of a box and a half and I have it down to half a box.  And contemplating going through it one more time....unfortunately 3 of the things I saved were DH's prized-possesions so I have to ask him first.

    So a mommy break, and a couple break, and woo hoo we'll be able to function again.

  • A quiet day.  But that was fine.  Rainee was extremely clingy, and I started bawling about 5pm when she wanted moilkie for the 500th billion time for the day.     So hope that doesn't mean she's getting sick.  Daddy rescued me at this point LOL  and was ready to ship her to Siberia by 5:30...instead she went down for early bed about 5:45.

    I think tomorrow I will run-away for a bit.  I'm just needing a few minutes space from my five-lively children.

    Still playing with my psp8 toy.  *grin*  And learning new things every day.  Today *gasp*  I learned how to cut in a circle.  ROFL.   I had finally given up trying to learn that was cutting in photo shop and carrying it over to psp.  But I finally did it.  *cheers*

    I actually did some decluttering again today.  And found some "curious" things.  *snigger*  Two tippy cups at the bottom of the kids basket.  *snort*    army men in very unusual locals.   and so on.

    Took the Christmas tree down and was quite delighted (not) to discover a roll of coban (the bandage we use for Rainee's pulse ox)  in the tree.  A plastic kids knife (shades of Galen????)  And a plastic ball.  Apparently the kids wanted to decorate too.

    So how worried should a parent be when they hear.  "Quick eat it before daddy sees us?"  snort.   My kids are getting good at being sneaky.  And I'm being stretched very far to catch them.  *sigh*

    Oh and question for the day.  Are your kiddos allowed free reign in the snack-drawer or do you make them ask?     Trying to decide how mean I am..................

  • EHEHEHEHEHE

    Well life is intresting.

    DH was low on gas last night and he knew it.  But he chose to stay and finish Sound of Music with Zeria and I.  (the boys thought it was boring and went to bed)   Anyhow he figured he'd just get gas in the morning after work and baby the Geo to work that way.  The geo drives well on fumes.

    UMMM,  apparently Clallam Bay's gas stations aren't open until 9.    So he's currently sleeping in the parking lot waiting for them to open so he can come home.  Happy New Year Rob.
