  • blogging fool today.  *snigger*

Finally uploaded pictures.  A co-worker grandma type sent a cupcake mix home with DH awhile back.  This is the result.  *giggles*  They did this a  week ago I think.

Once and awhile my hubby actually takes a 'pretty' picture.  I love the way the light hits Rainee on this one.

Anyhow those are the two I *had* to share.  Have a couple others I'll do another day.  But xanga just quit cooperating.  LOL

  • and the rain rain rain came down, down, down in rushing roaring rivers.

it is POURING again.  BIG storm, as big as Thursdays.  I drove into town to p/t and every intersection had water up to the floorboards of the Metro.   Visibility was umm nill, and it was slightly terrifying.

Soooo when I got to p/t I called my hubby and told him to take that sick day.  He is oh so NOT driving up the river again today!

So I get the sick day after all.  Which means of course...A Nap.

I like naps.  a LOT.  LOL

It also means ditch digging.  Our ditches are running, and we need to clear the summer grass and gunk out of a few.   They are still  doing fine and not overflowing, but we'd like to keep them that way.   So daddy will dig ditches after a bit, and mommy will sleep, and this day just seems more duable some how.

  • Good morning

I'm doing mostly better this morning.  Thanks for the good comments.   And for understanding my running away yesterday.

I of course didn't ask Rob for the day off.  Probably should have.  But well, I'm a glutton for punishment.  *snicker*  So instead in about ten minutes I will head out of the house to Rainee's p/t.  And after p/t I will get a head light for the Geo.  It umm lost it when Rob drove through the river.   The water he tells me was up to the hood of the car on his way to work.  And he kept going why?  I'm still trying to figure that one out.  ROFL

Then I will race back home so Rob can go to work.  I think the tv is gonna be babysitting today LOL

Oh did I mention our very new van has something wrong with it.  And we're umm low on funds due to the Seattle runs.  So we're praying it makes it 'til payday (Friday)  Its gonna be a great week.

Okay I'm gonna get myself started again ROFL.

One baby step at a time.  And this day will get accomplished.  And then I'll deal with the next one.  The one where I take a baby to Seattle... AGAIN.  Tomorrow's appointment is for the ENT doc to evaluate her tonsils.  Its really annoying how many doctors one little girl can see.

And you know what I'm gonna hit submit before I depress myself again.  LOL

  • I broke this afternoon.  It happens some days.  I've been ummm fragile for a few days, and managing by the skin of my teeth to hold it together.  Yesterday helped, 'cause I got some refresh time.  Today, well I'm just tired today.   And weepy.

I'm seriously considering asking Rob to take a sick day tomorrow so i can sleep.  I'm just feeling like the whole world will break somehow.

I'd like to make a joke or something light hearted about Catherine running out of the party.     I've typed four or five of them and deleted them all.   All of you at the boards have figured out by now snicker that I  have my limitations to what I can tolerate.  I guess I ran head-up against them again.   I'm not mad,  I'm not leaving the boards, but I can't write a charrie from my heart that goes against what I believe in.    So I took Cat out for a minute or two for fresh air, just like I've done in real life when I'm faced with something I don't necessarily like.

Be patient with me...I'm still learning.  And I'm a mom of five kids.  And five kids who are just keeping me at the breaking point.

And my moms recurring theme song comes to my head...

Stop this world and let me off....I'm tired of spinning round and round.

  • So spent quite a lot of time playing with this.    I *think* its purdy.  LOL  its a pixie dragon.   I didn't make it...just did a lot of editing.

Rainee Grace *gasp* slept through the night.  Well almost.  She was up at 4.  *snicker*  But it was her only wake up all night.  And she didn't alarm all night 'cause she actually kept her oxy in.     I like sleep.

Then Rainee and I got up at 5 and went and crawled into the hot tub together in the major downpour that is happening.  It was loverly.

Played way way way too much online the last couple days.  *giggles*  But have had fun doing it.  Even if I did make lots of posts for people to read.  hehehehehehehehe

And now hubby has woked up.  So its my time to go catch a few zzzzzzzzzzz's before church starts.

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  a breathe of fresh air.

My hubby gave me the gift of getting out of the house today.  I went to breaky at Chestnut Cottage.   It was loverly.  Visited with Hopeish for a couple minutes...and read my book.

I then made a quick hop to the grocery store to pick up more diet dew, and ingredients for saur kraut soup.  And then went and sat at a lookout and read a book for two hours.  TWO HOURS.  Without interuption.   I came back human again.  Its been awhile.  LOL

Had a long nap this afternoon as well which also helped.

And then after dinner my family and I all went for a walk.  We sat on a grassy hill watched the foot hills, and the munchies running down the hill, rolling down the hill, and playing hide and seek on the hill.  It was peaceful and enjoyable.  And just felt right somehow.  We all need moments like this when almost everything just feels right.

  • welllllllllll life

ummmmmmmm  my oh-so-loverly hubby has been stranded.

101 had a huge mud slide and the road is closed.

112 has a river running down it literally.

No idea when he gets to get home as they are LITERALLY the only two ways home.

Its gonna be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG weekend at this rate, as the rain has to let up before they'll even consider trying to fix either of them.

    Update;

Well my logger father is gonna go drive up the river.  *snicker*  He commuted that road for 25 years.   And it won't be the first time he's driven up the Pysht.    If that doesn't work...or the road department catches him.  *giggles*  He knows logging roads that he can go get my hubby on.    I looooooooove my dad.  So about noon I *should* have my hubby.   Oh and ummm, could you pray that the two idiots are safe while they do this little rescue from Clallam Bay?  Thanks

    Third update;

My dad made it fine.  The river had gone down, but nobody had bothered actually driving the road to find that out.  (go figure)  Of course now my dh is gonna be the laughing stock of the family for a good month.  My dad knocked on the door, yelled, and so on of the motel, and Rob slept through it.  *snicker*  He's gonna sleep through the rapture!  Anyhow dad left a note saying the river was  down, and eventually Rob woke up and came home.    The adventure is over....for now.   It's still raining insanely hard, so who KNOWS when its gonna stop!

  • under construction, and too tired to finish.  so please be patient.

p.s. Hey Misty I found a pixie dragon.

  • Good afternoon

Just got back from ladies Bible Study.  It was a nice break from the MAJOR downpour of rain happening outside.  Also its awesome for my kiddos as we've gotten access to the church gym and the kids are getting to play in it while Bible study is on with some other homeschoolers and such.  They LOVE that as you can well imagine.

My mom bought a brand new Dell three days ago.  I got to play on it for a short while.  My computer still looks pretty good LOL  Didn't see huge improvements on her new toy.  Although her new toy is ever so much then Mr. Dinosaur that is now being turned over to her younger kids to trash.  *snicker*   She couldn't send e-mail on outlook and was convinced her puter was trashed.  It wasn't.  It was a easy setting adjustment that with a 30 second evaluation, and a call to her provider to find the right command was quickly fixed.

She spent four hours in tears yesterday trying to fix it.  At first I thought that was funny, and then I felt bad for her...'cause am I gonna be that way about some newfangled device in 20 years?  Oh I so hope not.

Having way too much fun writing Catherine right now.    Spending much time giggling over her foolishness.

I ordered a pair of Robeez shoes for Rainee Grace.  Thanks for the link Hopeish they were exactly what the physical therapist recommended.     A bit spendy, but nearly as bad as many that I saw.    Oh and extremely cute.    I love baby shoes.  LOL

My hubby finally got his act together and made a bunch of calls about the home health care nurse.    The home health company has somebody looking for work.  Our insurance company will pay 100% of the care.  (woo hoo!)  And the doctor has agreed to write the orders.   She just has to get to the office to see Rainee's charts.  (Rob got her in the wrong office she works in two long story)   Sooooooo hopefully this helps.

Of course this means some serious rearranging for the nights that the nurse is here...but oh so well worth it!

Okay DH is up, and said i can go lay down.  And thinking I'm wasting valuable time computing instead of sleeping.  hehehe.

He has told me to say good bye to all my "little" friends and go to sleep.  ROFL

  • Good afternoon

So I survived my first of the 3 doctors appointments.  May the other two be more informative.

Rainee screamed from home to the ferry.  It was a long, long 2.5 hour drive.  And then when she got out of that nasty dretched car seat was quite happy.  The freeway drive to the hospital after the ferry was a bit better.   We bumbed around for a bit before as we got there early, and then went into the hospital for the appointment and Rainee decided it was naptime.  This is the sleepless wonder we're speaking about.  She slept through 98% of the doctors appointment.  This was the appointment that amongst other things was supposed to evaluate her walking.  It didn't happen.  (roll eyes)  I bribed her into five whole steps before she went clingy, whiny, and mommy you disturbed my nap.  *snort*

As a result the neural development doctor didn't give me a great assessment.  I was really upset about this at first.  But have decided oh well such is life.   And if she's still limping in three months I'll push for a BETTER evaluation from somebody else who actually listens to the mommy.

They did say her mild hypotonia (floppy muscles)  has gone to very hypotonic.  But as she's walking their not over concerned.  They just feel that's why she limps.  I STRONGLY disagree LOL.  But hey,  I'm just the mommy.

Okay started a snow storm at Bereleth.  Gonna go see if there's any other mischief I can make.  To forget life, and stinky doctors.

Went shoe shopping for sleepless wonder, and came home without any after going to four shoe stores.  I need something extremely light weight but wearable outside.  No go so far.  Should have bought the pair I saw yesterday in Seattle, may buy them next week.
