  •

    Woo hoo.  I'm on a roll.  4 pictures uploaded.  *grin*

    So day four of Vacation we went to the Southeastern Idaho state fair in Blackfoot, Idaho.  The above picture is grandma and several munchies petting the minature horses.  Unlike our fair you could actually touch the animals, and the kids liked that a LOT.  We actually skipped the petting zoo due to the fact that they'd pet a LOT of animals.  *grin*

    Rainee's favorite were the chickens.  Much to grandpa's amusement.  He was like...their just stinky old chickens Rainee.  But she pointed and gaggled and climbed out of the wagon to look at them.  ROFL.  Mommy always liked chickens too.  IN fact she's raised them most of her life.  Soon when life gets a bit more orderly we'll have them again.  I feel like its a good kid thing to do to raise them.  But too many little ones in the house at the moment!

    On our way to the fair we told the kiddos that they wouldn't get any rides as mommy and daddy didn't have money.  Grandpa cleared his throat politely and whispered....that's umm easily remidied, we're paying.  hehehe   But he didn't want to go against us.  And was quite sweet about it.  *grin*  So the kids got their rides.  They did three,  and Rainee got her first Merry go round ride.

    Mommy was actually quite sick at the fair due to her female visitor from Ghenna.  Sooooooooo   she didn't take as many pictures as she normally would have.  But here's the three she did take.  *grin*

    Oh and btw the woman in the sunglasses is my mil.  She's in her 50's disgusting huh?  Skinny, young, and gorgeous still.  Oy am I jealous.  ROFL   I think that Rainee is gonna look just like her    Her mom is 70 and looks 50.  She's 50 and looks 35.  Sooooo there's hope for some of us.  hehehehe

    So mostly what I have left is scenery pictures of the last two days.  There are a couple I'll share tomorrow, plus a very cute picture of Rainee in her Whinnie the Pooh outfit.  *grin*

  • So my site turned fallish last night.  I'm quite happy with it.  Except for two small details.  *snicker*  I studied the HTML until I was blue in the face....and I still couldn't figure out where the code was to change the boxes around next and back at the bottom from blue to brown.  "shrugs,  someday?"    Oh and I prefer the way the background looks on the comment page,  but have no idea how to get it to do that on the front page.  The front page is a skin I lifted and re-arranged from someone else.    If anybody knows the code to get the background to go in the middle I'd surely appreciate it.  Or if anybody wants to stare at the HTML and find the mistake for the blue I'd also be very happy.  LOL

    So day three of the vacation was rock-climbing day.  Uncle Devon had the stuff and volunteered to take the kids.  It's a small "real" rock park on the outskirts of town.  This was a favorite for the kiddos.

    The first picture is Uncle Devon at the top of the rock securing stuff down.

    They had a lovely time and each climbed the rock twice.  Of course the ONLY time it rained was when we did it,  so we didn't stay forever.

      So here's Uncle Devon fixing Zeria's harness.

    This is where the little munchkins climbed. hehehehehe

       So here's HD trying to climb.  He made it to the top.  But Uncle Devon "helped" him a bit by pulling on the bele rope.

      This picture is a bit blurry, but had to share.  Rainee was quite convinced she should be able to climb too.  hehehe.  Of course the answer was ummmm NOT!

    And I put this one up once already. 'cause its one of my favorites from the trip.  This is the Princess free-climbing.     She so loves climbing.

    So that's day 3.  I still have some more pictures. hehe.  (of course)  But one thing at a time, and maybe tomorrow I'll upload some more.  *grin*

    Kaylin has a fever.  She was up to 103.2 yesterday, its down some, but we're staying home as a result.  Rainee has a nasty, nasty, snotty nose and cough. No pneumonia yet, but I think I'll keep her home too.  So I guess I'm gonna stare at the computer and wish there was somebody to play with.   *grin*

    Or I could go drop toilet paper on all the stories that are getting too tense.  Or roses?  Or how about start water fights.  None of the admins are on to stop me.  hehehehehehe

    Actually what I really really want to do is get that skunk to spray Galain.  *Snicker*

    I'll be good.  maybe.  *wg*

  • The begining of my vacation picture tour.  *grin*

    It depends on how much patience I have in the uploading process what gets uploaded.

    The trip to Pocatello was done in the dark.  So no pictures of that.  The first day picture of the kids playing in grandma's yard I put up a couple days ago.

    The second day mil had give me some money to spend for my birthday.  And she wanted me to spend it at a very specific place.  I thought of craktpot a lot *grin*  It was a HUGE beading store in Blackfoot, Idaho.  The outside of the store was sccccarey, old rundown, and decriped.  The inside was pretty similar *snicker*.  I guess mostly she does a mail-order business, and is open to the public one week a month.

    Anyhow inside there was every glass bead imaginable.  And I got to blow $50 on them.  Wow that was a lot of money on a craft project.  And hard at first...but then I figured out how to do it.  ROFL!

    I bought enough beads for 3 necklaces

    So this was the store's sign.  I took a picture thinking of my goofy friend Jen whose always taking similar pictures. hehe.  And besides this sign was just plain umm unique.

    And then thinking of craktpot I had to take a picture of the inside.  She would have been drooling.  *grin*   The lady specializes in Chekzollsovokian beads.  argh I KNOW that's spelt wrong.  Because she believes their colors are better.   I guess that makes them not necessarily uniform in size, but there sure was some pretty stuff.

    My mil is really into bead weaving.  But it just gives me a headache to contemplate it.  Those beads are TOO tiny.  hehehe

    So I ended up buying the beads for 3 necklaces.  A mostly red one,  a pink one.  and a purple,pink blue one.  Someday when I'm bored maybe I'll scan them.  Of course it would help if Rainee hadn't broken two of them already ROFL due to the fact that I bought cheap string 'cause I knew money was tight at home, and I knew I had good stuff AT home.  So gotta re-string two of them already.  *sigh*  She btw broke one of them on the trip home just before the second store denied the cc for the second time that day.

    HMMMM.  I've currently been uploading this second picture for ten minutes.  So I guess my patience will be gone after it finally shows up.

    Okies then the store goes wider then this, and longer.  And yes it was a major hodge podge of containers holding the beads.  But entirely too fun.

    So that was the entertainment on Thursday of our vacation.

    Oh the other form of entertainment were the squirt guns that grandma brought out.

    And my true pleasure of the whole week was getting my fil with one   DH told me not to.  He gave  me the "look" that says fil wouldn't deal with it.  But I gave him a "look" back and squirted away.  hehehehehehe

    He actually took it well.  And it was definitely the hi-light of the trip.  *snicker*  Unfortunately no pictures,  but definitely a good memory.

  • Life ain't it grand?

    I'm actually feeling more up then I have in months.  Go figure.

    I have been off my paxil for almost two weeks.  And I'm beginning to suspect it was sapping some energy.

    I have two mostly full nights of sleep under my belt which is always good.

    And I stood up for Rainee and myself yesterday and got good results in return.  Even if I did almost cry when I was being agressive.

    I have a lovely pulminologist who has worked with Rainee since she was 3 months old.  She is literally a gift from God.  She has treated me with respect, gone out of her way to defend/treat Rainee.  And in the middle of clinic walked two floors down to comfort me when I found out about Rainee's heart.

    There is another woman pulmo I think is probably just as good, but Dr. R. is wonderful and I see no reason to change.

    There are several male doctors that are just butts.  The one is the one I dealt with in June who I was ready to strangle after the last sleep study.

    Well, so I show up to the appointment and instead of Dr. R. who I'd scheduled with there was Dr. G.  a Major pain in the butt.  I drove 4 hours, spent money we really, really don't have, and he was in the room with me less then ten minutes.  Did NOT give me time to ask my questions and then was gone.  I did not come here for this.  HE said he'd be right back, so I figured I'd missed something.  He didn't come back, instead the nurse did to discharge me.

    I very calmly and quietly told her that my visit had been a complete waste of time.  That Dr. G. said he was coming back, and I was NOT coming back to Childrens as I felt like it was a waste of my time, money, and energy.  Dr. W. at home could do more then Dr. G did.  She was extremely sweet and sympathetic.  She said she'd go find out what happened to Dr. R.

    She did, apparently a schedule change happened and Chad the wonderful receptionist forgot to call.  He's usually extremely with it, so he must have been having a bad day or something.   Anyhow they went above and beyond and paged Dr. R.  She was in the hospital and on-call.  She had a quick bronch she had to do, and then she said she could visit with me all day if she had to.

    She headed to the bronch and RAinee napped in my arms while I read a book.  less then 35 minutes later she was back.  And she answered all my questions and then some.  She explained the last sleep study to me.  And said that RAinee had had 39 not-breathing incidents in a 6 hour study.  And this was an "improvement" but they were obviously concerened.

    She'd just done a in-house training with the sleep doctor that day who'd stressed the role tonsils play.  Dr. G had already looked at Rainee's tonsils,  but wasn't willing to make any decisions without Dr. R. being there.  She trusted Dr. G's assessment of size.  I guess there quite largish, and her airways are quite small.  Sometimes central apnea events happen because of obstructive (blocking passage way events)  They would like to remove this option.  There not promising miracles.  But oy,  if it would get Rainee off oxygen it would be worth its weight in gold!

    So, its a day surgery, plus a visit to meet the ENT.  We'll find out in the next week or so when etc.    I hate to put her through the anesthesia again,  but I also hate the screaming and covering she does of her nose when she sees the cannula coming at her.  Sooooooo the lesser of the evils.

    We discussed that Rainee will be the way she is breathing ways for a long time, and as long as she was growing, and we were rescuing her, she felt like she's on the right track.  I was comforted by Dr. R not blowing me off, and a plan.  And for once being agressive paid off.

    Rob congratulated me when he heard I'd stood up for myself and gotten good results.  LOL.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    On other fronts.  I'm so enjoying my computer right now.  LOL  Its great to be home.  And gonna be a good long while before I can advocate for another run to Pocatello.  My kids are content and playing nicely, the house is reasonably clean, and home has never looked so NICE!  If the grands want to see their grandkids they can just come this way thank you very much.  And if DH wants to seee his grandparents I think I'll buy him airplane tickets!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Role-playing comments ignore if your not intrested.  ROFL

    Catherine grew up in the last 24-hours.  Its been amazing to write, and I'm still shocked how much fun its been.     I did a lot of soul-searching as to what I'd be willing to write, etc before I made this decision.  And I feel extremely peaceful about it.  And astounded as to how much fun its all been.     Of course now this means she has to get used to Glory's majorly wacky family *snicker*  But hey its all fun right????

    Oh and btw Jen....I think DH would love to know how to work the "unlock" charm.  snicker.

    Thanks for playing with me,  it was a much needed break from reality.

    And now for Catherine's birthday.    Waits patiently to be suprised.  *snicker*

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I'll upload pictures tomorrow.  But had trouble with my server this morning, and no time to do it right now.
    Have a great day all!
  • Okay then.  Its the first two of the camping pictures.  There are many more.  But I only have so much patience.  And for the first night in two weeks I'm gonna spend some alone time with DH.
    Survived the trip to the pulminologist.  It looks like in a desperate attempt to get Rainee's apnea under control we're gonna take her tonsils out.  I'm comfortable with it, and the ramifications of two more trips to Seattle with sink in later.
    Have a great day/night.  My DH is gonna turn the computer off if I don't go *snicker*
  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh a day at home is a lovely thing.
    I have so enjoyed playing on the computer today, and my OWN bed.  *grin*
    Tonight we take the kids to their first Awana of the year.  We almost opted out, but figured what the heck.
    And tomorrow Rainee and I head to Seattle for a pulminologist appointment.  Life is heading back to normal quickly.  *snicker*
    And thanks Jen so much for playing today.  I needed a reality break big time.    It was major fun.
    Craves a lap-top once again.  *snicker*  I'll be back to play late tomorrow afternoon...if not sooner.  hehehe
  • We're back.  A lot too many days early.  And we're officially NOT calling what just occured a vacation.
    Cause it was just plain hard work.  And I'm in a b***** mood.
    So the way the trip started was extremely indicitive of the way things were meant to go.
    pbbbbbbbbbbbbbt
    And I'm home on my birthday, and nothing birthdayish is planned.  And I had about four hours of sleep.  And Rainee is getting very sick.
    The things that went wrong?  Well,  our dog got in heat at my sisters house, so she had to take him to get spayed.  We weren't planning on doing this for a month or so.  So this was a big chunk of money unplanned for.
    The time at 'ils was mostly good except Rainee didn't sleep.  Not even a little bit.  So I nursed her/rocked her/etc each night all night long.  And then pretended to be sociable in the day time.  And listened to fil's comments about mommy always sleeping.  (They were NOT funny)  And  I averaged possibly an hour's sleep each day in the daytime cause I felt guilty sleeping in their house.  So I now have a major sleep-debt accumulated.
    So we knew money was short, but we still thought we'd be okay.  And the 10th (today) was pay-day so we should be fine)
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
    So we headed away from 'ils with a semi-plan to stop at a KOA near Boise.  ONly we forgot our wretched KOA book, so weren't sure where the KOA was.  We drove past one near Mountain Home.  Well that was THE KoA  there are none in Boise.
    It went down hill quickly from there.  We stopped at a gas station looking for a place to camp, and he recommended a Hot Springs.  We headed there.  It was over a hour out of the way and off the beaten track.  We finally found the thing in the middle of nowhere's ville only to find
    (drum roll please)
    The roof had collapsed the night before.
    Oh yeah...they knew we were headed there.
    So we opted to go to a motel as we were exhausted the kids had been in the car for an eternity and so on.
    Oh we had already decided not to go to Yellowstone due to money, and the fact that Rainee wasn't sleeping at night.  It just sounded like a headache!
    So we headed back to the free-way (one hour back)  And found a motel.  We spent a good portion of money for two rooms as we can no longer fit in one.  And supposedly they had a pool.
    They did we swam in it about 5 minutes.  It was FREEEEEEZING cold, and we were all shivvering and miserable.
    So we ordered pizza (our first meal out the whole time)  And made the best of the motel.
    Rainee screamed the rest of the night.
    At 2 am or so I went and banged on the door and made DH take over.  He brought her back at 5 am.
    It sucked.
    I was bawling as you may well imagine.
    sooooooooooo we had to eat breakfast out due to being in a motel, and no gas for the cook-stove yet.
    We headed to Dennys.  Had the worlds crappiest service.   And I'm oh-so-not exagerating. Had to ask for water four times before they brought it, and the bill 3x.  (should a left without paying *snicker)
    DH gives them the M/C to pay, and its denied.
    Panic ensued.
    He had just enough cash to pay for breakfast, and we headed to the nearest payphone.  He checked our balance there was still a "bit" of money there, but not enough to get us home due to the fact it costs $50 to fill the tank, and we needed to fill it twice.
    So we SOS'd my mom who lent us money for one day.  And we headed home.
    Only problem it was 15 hours to get home at the bare minimum.
    It was a long-neverending day.
    So we finally had to fill up with gas again.  (Had food with us thank you God!)
    And they deny the card again.  Rob is freaking.  I'm praying.  The kids want to know why we're sitting in a parking lot for an eternity.
    He goes in and uses the card at the ATM machine (eventually after a lot of other scheming)  And the machine says we still have $150.  We have NO idea what that was all about.
    We get in and continue to head home.
    Hit Olympia about 8 pm last night.  Seriously considered banging on Dee's door and camping in her front yard ROFL.  IF I'd had her phone number she may have gotten unexpected noisy visitors.  ROFL
    Instead we continued on, and got home at 11 pm last night.
    The adventureless adventure.
    And now we have a ton of money.  ROFL  Okay not a ton, but you know what I mean.
    And its my birthday and we're supposed to be on vacation.  And we're not.  We're in a house with no diapers, dirty laundry, and dirty dishes.
    CAn I go have a vacation now?
    Oh thats right I already had one.
    Snicker.
    Okay....whine is over.
    And I do have some fun pictures, but there in the filthy dirty van that has to be emptied out at some point.  And well I'm not dealing with that at the moment.  I'm in denial.
    Oh did I mention Rainee screamed from Boise to Bremerton?  Thats 15 hours.  She doesn't like travelling.  She would stop for a few precious minutes everyonce and awhile...but basically she screamed.
    Its a great life if you don't weaken....
  • Bangs head soundly on computer.  Oh that feels rather good.
    We can't leave until the mail comes.  There are supposed to be two checks coming today which we absolutely HAVE to deposit before we leave.
    So the mailman was two houses away.  We saw him.  We told the kids to load up.  We loaded up, and the mailman disappeared.  We don't know where he went, he hasn't come,  he's 2 hours late  I guess 'cause of the holiday yesterday,  and we had to unload the kids...(they loved that).
    And I just want to go to bed and stay there.  Can we cancel the vacation before it starts?  PlEAAAAAAAAAAASE!?
    So, I think we're ready for this thing called vacation, that sure has seemed like hard work up to this point. *snicker*. Just have to get Cat & Barbara out of Dragon. And my net responsibilities are under control. *grin*
    Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd guess what lovely suprise I found this morning? After wondering for 3 months where she was. Aunt Flo showed up to accompany me on vacation. Is that irony or what? *sigh* *whine* *growl* *moan*
    I will take tons of pictures, and I'll miss you lots, and I'll try to sneak online at least once at a friends house, but unsure if it will happen or not.
    Maybe I'll find a internet cafe. hehehehe
    Soooooooo this blog is suspended until further notice. Have a great couple weeks ya all.
    Pray for the runaway
    Who ran away from love
    Who ran away from help.
    Toi protect the hurst inside.
    The hurt has kept him going.
    It what keeps him alive.
    He cannot love,
    Because he hurts inside.
    God loves the run away
    He'll carry the hurt away.
    He'll lead them to see the love.
    And carry the hurt away.
    Pray for the stay-at-home
    Who runs away from love.
    The help is so close at hand.
    But the hurt stays inside.
    God loves the stay at home.
    He'll carry the hurt away.
    He'll let them see the love.
    And carry the hurt away.
    So it has a tune swirling around in my head, and is destined to be a praise song.  Even if just for me and my family.  But I thought maybe somebody else would enjoy it.
