  • Conversation I held on the way to church with my kids.

Princess;  "Mom why are we going slow?"

Mom;  Because the sand truck is in front of us and I don't want to get hit by a rock.

Princess;  How would we get hit by a rock,

Mom;  By the sand truck dumping sand out of the road in front of us.

HD; Mom whats that in front of us?

    Mom; Its the sand truck

    HD;  What's it do?

    #$@*#($&*@*(#$*@#&$@(*#&$@*(#*$&@(#*&$(@

Okay what I should have said.  Its a big dragon.  And it takes little girls and boys who ask questions but don't listen to the answers and carrys them off to a great island where they will never get their answers answered again, and they will have to dig to supply the dragons hoard.  They probably would have just said "OH", and we could have been done with it.

  • oh i have a few of those conversations a day here as well! kids, they bring such joy into our worlds, and sometimes we don't realize at that moment that they are bringing us joy because they are getting on our nerves, but when you think back on it, you can see the joy and I always thank Him for allowing me to have that hindsight
