  • Afternoon

This is a quickie blog as I want to lay down for a few before going on my date night with DH.

We got a call from Childrens today, and they have scheduled Rainee's sleep evaluation, and lung function test for TOMORROW.

They were supposed to call last week, and miscommunication happened, and nobody did nobody's job.  LOL  They've worked so hard to help us, I didn't begrudge it, just panicked a bit when working out the details.

It will be a overnight admit for the sleep eval.  And quite frankly  I'm praying that Rainee plays ALL of her breathing tricks, so they can give us a honest clear concise answer.  I'd appreciate your prayers as well.

I probably will have time to blog tomorrow, but in case I disappear without notice, thats where I went.  Drag my charries along if need be.  Just be nice to the practical joker currently playing rope games at Ingraelis k?

  • New clothes apparently are highly overrated.

I haven't had new Sunday clothes that looked nice and fit me.  For a hugely long time.  So I found two outfits recently at Walmart and was quite pleased.

I put the first one on for the first time this morning.  Keeping in mind its only 7:47 in the morning.  And well I just ripped it.  *sigh*

Kaylin fell off the treadmill (long story)  I bent down to pick her up, put her in my arms and the button caught on something and ripped off leaving a hole where the button was, and not on the button-hole side.

    I guess I didn't need new clothes.

Can I retire from parenting and life now?

  • Mornin

Its 6:20 am.  And 4 out of 5 kiddos are awake.  I haven't let them come down yet, 'cause I need a few seconds to myself.

Do you think I'll ever have a baby that sleeps for more then 45 minutes at a time.  She's gonna be a year old soon, it sure would be nice.  *sigh*

I hired my sister to come over yesterday.  And instead of running away to town, or doing extra housework, or having her do housework.  I slept.  4 hours!!!!!

And oh man did I need it.  Could use another 4 right now.    I know I'm greedy, but when one is chronically sleep deprived one just barely functions.

My dad stopped by for a few minutes yesterday and brought me a lovely bouquet of wild flowers.    I told dh my boyfriend brought them, the kiddos wanted to know who that was.  snicker.

Wild current's, and a couple scotch broom.  Their brightening up my kitchen table, and are ever so lovely.

HMMM I can't think of a wretched thing to blog about.  Man I'm a blank.

Guess I'll try again later.  It must be the early morning thing.  LOL

  • Okay well, so I was bored.  and the baby's been awake all night except for brief five minue spans that just weren't long enough.  And one of those dh woke her up cause he thought I was a burgler as I tried to sneak to the bathroom without a baby in my arms.  (What followed was not a purdy seen.)  He screams from what was a lovely sleep.  "What the"  Scared the crap out of me, and then made me mad 'cause he woke the baby.  I mean I had shook the bed getting out didn't he feel that.  And how dare he be asleep when I hadn't slept all night.  And well you know the irrational feelings that come from a sleep deprived woman.  bwahaha.   Sooooooo what do I do when I wake up I play this (pointing down)

Bear with me, can't get the purdy HTML to work.  So I keep editing.

    or this?

    or this?

There's about 5-10 more similar pictures somewhere on my harddrive.  But I think this is enough.

Kid's will make your life exhausting, but their cute, and at some point it will look funny once again.

  • Good morning

My girls are not PLAYIN' with HD today.  Part of its cute.  They've finally figured out how to play together.  Princess and Kaylin play dress up and dolly's together.  In the past Kaylin's been the toddler, but she's starting to be old enough to play real games.  Its also makin' for friction as their trying to figure out who fits where.  Its all part of life.

Today MariMan got up ready to go back to bed.  He is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo whiny!  Hopefully my sis will be here soon, and then she can watch him.  She's his favorite person anyhow.

Okay he's snugglin' with me now.  He's quite fascinated with the picture below of rainee grace

I solved his crankys.  He had asthma.  He came with it, but its been under control along time.  I think I'm gonna have to drag him into a doctor soon here, and get him on some mainteance meds.  *sigh*

What is in the air around here????????

So, currently I'm typing while giving a little boy a neb treatment.  hehehe

My boards are quiet.  Somebody's mom is visiting (no saying names )  And both of them as a result have a life, and no time to write.  I'm bored waaaaaaa

Okay just had to say that.

But, my giant sure is having fun falliing in love.

BTW blessedmanytimes.  In answer to your question about role playing.  It is something I started doing because of GrannieDee and Zanzivou.  And I've since found out there are many xanga members who do it as well.  Its essentially writing stories together, but a lot quirkier then that.   We each have a character that we write, and we bounce off each other.  And the stories are set in a fantasy time with most writers being some form of elf, pixie, giant, that kinda thing.  Quirky, but entirely too much fun!

If your curious here's the link  to the    You can follow to other links from there if you want.

Okay, we were given a chest freezer (HUGE)  and DH needs me to boss him as to where it goes, so I guess real life calls.

  • Good morning

"God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."  Second Timothy 1:4

I'm holding onto this verse and claiming it today.  I will function without obsessing about Rainee today.  And know that God is in control.

We actually did a bit of yard work yesterday, and it was kinda fun.  We also cleaned out (dunged out) our entry-way)  I found a book shelf at Goodwill for $20, and we took what we had for storing shoes out, and put that in.  Then we swept, and got rid of extra JUNK.   We also put more nails in for coats.

    NOW....

If we could only convince the kids to actually HANG up there coats, and put there shoes WHERE they go.

    bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha

    It'll never happen

I have the hiccups this morning.  And so if my typing takes a sudden bump bear with me   LOL

Raineebugs sats dropped down to 85  about 15x last night.  She hovered at 93 while she was sleeping.  And then about 2am she jumped up to 94-95 and stayed stable the rest of the night.   So, I have absolutely no idea whats going on.

My project for today is to braid Princess' hair.  Now this probably doesn't sound like a project to you, but then most of you haven't done African American Girls hair.  Its a project.   And its gonna be torture for both of us.

I actually usually pay my sister to do it, but her hairs been in the same braids for two weeks, and I couldn't take it any longer.  Sides we need some mommy and Princess time right?

Maybe if I do a good job I'll take pictures.  We shall see.

So corn rows, french braids, inside out braids, or stick out braids?  Decisions, decisions, decisions.

We've been discussing eye color in our house.  Princess in all serious said.  "Sooooooooo do all white people have blue eyes?"  After we were done laughing we explained the situation.

So, now Kaylin is observing eye color.  And we have to go through the list.  'eri has brown eyes,  and 'bari (Mari) has brown eyes,  and Sam has brown eyes, and I have blue eyes like grandma.   And we agree with each one.  And then the list starts over.   Rainee Grace doesn't fit into this conversation for unknown reasons.  ROFL   I suppose I should add her to the list, but the list seems endless as it is.

Raineebug will be a year old on the 19th of April.  And shes still TOOTHLESS.   I'm not looking forward to when all her teeth start coming in, but I am beginning to wonder if theres any in there LOL

She is trying to pull herself up, but isn't quite there yet, and is not standing yet.  Two of my babies were walking by now.  ALL of them were standing.  So of course I'm trying not to add that to my list of worries.  And as I'm a parent of course its not working.   When do I call that number for early intervention that I keep putting off?  OH,  'cause I just don't want another appointment of any kind!!

Well, I guess I've wandered on about nothing for long enough.  Have a great day all.  Oh, and enjoy this picture of James at the beach.  Isn't he cute?  Notice the foot wear btw.  UMM, he sprays shoe repellant on his feet when he's upstairs supposedly sleeping.  I swear he does!  We spend half our waking day relocating his shoes, and putting them BACK on his feet. *sigh*  These particular shoes were his birthday shoes from his sis.  And well after 30 minutes of looking one is currently living at the beach.  WE could NOT find it.  And of course communicating with a barely two year old, was impossible.   "Where'd you loose it."    a bla bla bla (points)  I follow him, he wanders aimlessly.  Where'd ya loose it.  a bla bla bla,  And points in a different direction.  BWAHA   So, there goes another pair of shoes to the shoe god.  (Is he part elf and getting vengeance for all the shoes they had to build?)

  • Good morning

My kiddos listened to 3/4's of my Bible reading this morning.  They kept bugging while I was reading so I finally just started reading out loud to them.   I'm gonna have to remember that it works fairly well.

Kaylin Joy big Girls birthday was lots of fun.   We took her to the park in the morning (her request)  She had the choice of the Game Farm, or a hot dog roast, or the park, and she chose the park.  My mom as a extra suprise brought her kids and they all played and ran all over the park, while the adults stood and SHIVERED!

We then came home and Kaylin got to have a hot dog roast too LOL.  Daddy supervised, while mommy took a nap, and Rainbug to the doctor.  I was NOT happy that I had to do a doctors run on Kaylin's birthday, but life gets that way.

Rainbug's sats have been dropping for 30 seconds to a minute down to the 80's about 20 times a night.  We're probably looking at some kind of sleeping dis order, but she's never done this before, so we're waiting to find out whats going on.  The doctors run was kind of a waste of time, as we didn't get any answers, but we did get a quicker line to Dr. Rosenfeld the pulminologist.  She's trying to rush the sleep study, but they are really backed up.  So time will tell.

Anyhow we got back eventually, and just watched Kaylin play with her new stuff, and enjoyed the kiddos.    At dinner time our babysitter came, and stayed with the four others, and we took Kaylin out on our date night with us.  We've decided we're gonna do this with each child on their birthday.  It was a good way to get one-on-one time with them, and they think they are something HOT.

The topic of the day (over & over & over)  was Anee Ga stay home, but I got to come~~cause its my b'thday.  "Mari had to stay home, but I got to come~~cause its my bi'thday.   Zeri stayed home, but I got to come~~cause its my b'ithday.  We discussed this repeatedly the whole night.  ROFL  It was VERY important to her!

The restaurant sang happy birthday to her and her eyes were the size of elephants she was so excited.    And of course all the waitress' oowed and awwed over her in her party dress.  All in all I think it was a BIG success.

Of course the Princess was M A D that she couldn't come.  We kept telling her on her birthday she would get to do the same, but she's never been big on delayed gratification.

Well, today I guess I'm taking the munchkins and going grocery shopping, so POOR dh can get caught up on the books.  He hasn't done them in almost two months, and well they NEED to be done.

Soooo my good deed for the day is leaving him in a house by himself.

    Have a great day all.

  •

Look whose three years old.  This picture is a re-run, but its so cute, I couldn't resist.

Kaylin Joy big girl is three today.   Three years ago almost this time of day a little girl was laid on my stomache and I fell instantly and permanently in love.

    HAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPY BIRTHDAY KAYLIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Psst,

I think she might be (FINALLY) weaning!!!  She's asked for a tippy 'tup over nursing 2x in the last couple days.  I will miss it, but oy is it time! This morning she announced.  I don't want moilky mommy when she saw me drag my tail out of bed.  This is a first.  Moilky mommy time in the morning is number one important.  Soooooooo  its coming, and I'm actually glad, I'm not overly excited about nursing a three year old.

Anyhow.  I'm gonna go enjoy my Kaylin joy big girl.  We've called her babyKay way too long.  So she's been learning she's a "big girl.  And this is her new name.

  • Am I greatful?

We finally got the probe for our pulse ox.  Due to many stupid and complicated reasons its been gone for over two weeks.

    I'm greatful we got it.

BUT, we know have a partial answer as to why Raineebug keeps waking up & up& up & up.  She goes to sleep, nice still quiet baby.  She's asleep for an hour.  Pulse ox goes off,  her sats drop 88, 87, 86, 85,  this happen over 30 seconds to a minute.  She makes funny gurgly noises.  (hard to describe)  And then starts crying.

Her pulse ox goes back where it should be, and mommy nurses her, and she's quite fine again.

And we did this about 20 times last night.  DH who'd been oblivious to how many times I'd been waking up.  (My point exactly~~poor guy needs sleep sometimes)  Anyhoo, said is this how often she's been waking, I said.  YEP!

So, I'm greatful we have the pulse ox, but concerned as to what it means.  I'm thinking its probably gonna confirm that her tonsils need to come out.  WHO knows.

20 times a night btw is about 15 too many.  I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo TIRED!  And the knowledge that the pulse ox was going off was makin' me a nervous wreck.  So,  I'm TIRED!! snicker

Tomorrow is Kaylin's birthday.  I was supposed to buy her a cake yesterday (OOPS)  And we were gonna sing to her and have a "party" at evening service.  So sometime today I'm gonna have to do that.  UGH, I do NOT NOT NOT want to have to drag all the kiddos in for that little project.  I'm tempted to try to make a cake  by myself, but I SUCK at decorating.

decisions, decisions, decisions.  *sigh* *whine* Moan*

    ROFL

I actually inspite of it all feel much better then I thought I would.  And am greatful for small favors.  I've been up since 6 am after all.  And basically didn't sleep.  How long can one go without sleep deprivatioN????

On the bottom is a picture to make you smile.  This was also taken at the beach on Tuesday.  My kiddos climbed up on this big piece of driftwood, and then watched the waves they were their for quite awhile.  They thought it was funny that the waves couldn't get them.  Princess, being the oh-so-adorable princess she is, thought to tease the waves.  She was caught for all of time.  ENJOY   I sure did!!!!!!1
