Good morning   Rainee is helping me type this morning.  Well okay mommy is desperatelyl trying to keep the keyboard OUT of her reach.  But she thinks those lovely buttons look oh so cool.

Last night we gave Rainee her first food.  And let her sit in the high chair for the first time.

She thought that was VERY cool.    And smiled and hammed it up for all of us.  The meal?  Just noodles with nothing on them.  And I'm highly doubtful she actually got any in her mouth.  But man was it fun to play with and much better then being stuck in the bouncy seat wondering what the heck we're doing.

At first she was cautious and just touched, and looked around.  But soon she figured out what spaghetti noodles were for!

I wish the last picture were better because hanging from her ears is spaghetti~~hanging from her hair is spaghetti.  You get the picture.

Today I feel a bit better.  A lot of it is just admitting I feel like crap most days.  That relieved the tension somehow.

kids are running around playing chase.  the sun is shining and life feels a bit more doable.

kids had great fun yesterday in that when grandpa was here with his cat building trails he also cleared out a very nice climbing tree.  and that was just way too cool!

Random unrelated thought~~why do Barbies always end up naked and headless within a month after being bought????

Oh and btw I HATE Barbies but they were "gifts"  *sigh*

Okay I can type now~~baby gurl is in the crib napping.

I had a MAJOR run around with the doctor on Monday and that had a lot to do with my sinking so low.  Rainee has a yeast infection.  I was 98% sure thats what it was.  But of course I couldn't go buy the product to treat it I had to go pay a doctor to say yep your right mom.    So  I took her in.  She had been wheezing bad all day.  I treated her just before she left.  But by the time she got to the doctors it was fairly bad and she HATED it.     She wouldn't let me lay her on her back 'cause it hurt etc.    So the doctor (not my normal doctor)  Started asking questions about her treatment.  Agreed that she was taking way way too much albuterol.  Agreed that she was wheezing and pretty miserable.    Said she was definitely not in control with her asthma.  Agreed that she needed the next visit with the pulminologist.  And sent her home without doing anything else.  HE said he'd wait for the pulminologist to change the meds.  I can appreciate that~~ BUT!!!!!  what about right now when she's so miserable and wheezy?  And she can't play~~and she's killing brain cells because of oxygen deprivation?  And mommy starts remembering all the nasty horrible things that have gone on in this wee ones life.  And obsessed, and worried, and you get the picture.  UGH!  I so hope something gives soon.

Okay on to something better.  I took pictures of my kids on one of our rainey days.  And what happened to my dining room table to keep them happy.  WAnta see?

Ok enough pictures.  Takes so much time to upload on this lovely dial-up connection.

    Have a great day all

  • I LOVE those pictures!  The ones of Rainee having her first food are CLASSIC!  Also the black and white one.. that one should be FRAMED.  GORGEOUS!

Praying for little Rainee-girl.. she certainly has been through it, yet look at that blissfully precious smile on her perfect little face.  Nothing like the reflection of a child to put everything in place.

A couple things about yeast (ugh) if you can get yogurt with live cultures or acidophilus in her, it will help TREMENDOUSLY. I know with the asthma you're prolly staying away from dairy, so the acidophilus is most likely the better choice for her.  Also, no using corn starch on her little bottom. None.. nada.  You prolly know all this, but those are two biggies I can think of.  I will be praying for your sweet girl!!!! AND for YOU!

  • Oh little Rainee is beautiful. I love those pictures! Those black and white pix are just gorgeous when you show them here. Weadopt2001 is right about the yogurt stuff and all. Gosh, but it's so easy for little baby girls to get those infections though. Emily got one at around four months. I never used powder or anything. I can't even remember what my ped told me to do... *blinks* But it went away. *hugs*

  • Rainee is just such a cutie!  Look at her hammin' it up!! I do hope her infection is cleared up soon and that you get some REAL answers about her asthma.  ((((HUGS))))

  • gorgeous pictures in this blog and in the last! especially the close-up of the leaves in the last one! and the black and white one in this one--wow! she's getting big and her smile is getting even bigger. Rainee is adorable--I hope she's feeling better soon. the table game looks fun--I can remember doing that all the time when I was little. Im praying for you guys and for a quick and easy recovery for Rainee

  • really great pictures of the whole clan!  Has your doctor talked to you about Xopenex?  It's like a purer form of albuterol so it works better, faster and not nearly as many side effects.  Only available for nebs at this time.

    I hope she's better soon.

  • What a great blog.  Those pictures are lovely.  Enjoy your family.

  • She's so gorgeous Tonia...and she sounds just like my Steve when he was a baby. Did the albuterol cause the yeast infection? Steve used to get thrush and infections on his bottom from the asthma meds.

  • The pictures are all just wonderful! I love seeing your kids so happy! Rainee is gorgeous with that spaghetti!

    Glad you're feeling better today!

  • What great pictures..... I love coming here and reading!!!!

    Your kids are just precious!!!!

    Have a terrific Thursday!!!!!!!!!
