Month: September 2002

  • Good morning

Its gorgeous outside today.  My kids are all at the moment coloring.  And dh is upstairs cleaning up glass from a broken light-bulb.  (its a kid thing of course)

DH and the kids are planning on going birthday shopping for mommy today.  Mommy's not sure what she's planning on doing.......

I am so jealous of the time my dh is home.  I hate to share him lol.  I want to go and do and be with him the days I actually have the energy to do so.

I have bloggers block today....can't think of much to say.  Maybe will come back later and try again when I'm actually awake...if that ever happens!

  • Good morning   Well soccer practice was exhausting.    HD tended to think that it should be football.  And kept pulling kids by their shirts to slow them down.  :-O   And several of the 4 year olds thought looking for feathers in the grass was much more fun then learning how to play soccer.   The worst offender of this was my least favorite kid in the world.  (long story)

His mom is most of the time sweet....but she thinks her son is so smart, so everything.  And he's such a discipline problem.  Anyhow I did my best trying to get them to have fun and learn a few basic tips about not touching the ball with your hands etc.  After practice I told the moms when the game was (this Saturday)  And that mom kinda went a little upset.  They've only had one practice...that's not time enough.  Everybody wants to come to my sons very first soccer game, and he's not ready, etc, etc.

And I'm thinking....no he's not ready.  He didn't listen EVER.  I think he kicked the ball once during the whole practice.  The rest of the time he was off in la-la land.  And when I'd try to tell him something he'd say..."my mom said."  And I'd say...well I appreciate your mom helping, but now you need to listen to me.

SIGH it was exhausting and to have the mom get grumpy made it worse.

The mom IS my friend.  And did back down when I called her on it...but oy I just can't cope with extra stress these days.

I'm going to my doctor on Monday, and am going to be asking to up my paxil when I'm their.  I'm on the minimum dose...and I think I need some more.  I'm just having a hard time keeping my emotions where they should be at.

Well my sisters here to work so I guess I should get her going....

  • The fall schedule begins today

Wednesday will be the day to GOOOOOOOOO lol

We have soccer practice at 2:45 come home for about an hour and a half and then go back for Cubbies.

Monday we will have soccer practice.  Saturday soccer games.  And Bible Study has been moved to Thursdays.

Fortunately soccer is only a month and a half long, so we can survive that.    Besides I thinnk soccer will be VERY VERY good for Samuel...and Zeria will enjoy it too.

I am for whatever reason the kids soccer coach, but at that age level it doesn't amount to much, and I'd already be there anyhow so hopefully it all goes smoothly.

I'm struggling these days in how to convince Princess not to be so emotional.  She gets soooooooo mad and soooooo upset.  And it makes it impossible for us to function.  Shes a very good girl in every regard except for her bubbling over emotions.  If she's this way when she's five what the heck is she gonna be like as a teenager?

James is starting to talk   He has about 30 words now.  I'm so excited as Kaylin was such a LATE talker.  They get in "word" wars. hehehe  They'll be sitting in their car seats and James will say up! and Kaylin down! and then their started...up! down! up! down!  hehehe.

Kaylin has a major fetish about where things belong.     She just walked up to find sister's shoes NOT in the shoe box.  And asked if she could put them away.    I'll keep her!!!!

Zeria and I worked together and she learned how to fry eggs.   She thought that was very very very cool.

Yesterday we had a history lesson.  We drove to a Army bunker and explored it.  And talked about why it was built etc.   And conveniently their happened to be a nice sandy beach right beside it....so then we played in the beach for a hour or more.  It was very lovely.  And we learned our letter for the day by writing it in the sand.    And finding r things on the beach.  Like, Rocks, and Rob     I like that kinda school!!

All and all life was wonderful yesterday.    We ended it by having our date night.  Where we really enjoyed just visiting and some kid free moments.  And we proved we have the "zing" still in our relationship.  We were waiting in line in Walmart.  And were kissing each other and staring in each others eyes.  And apparently the world stopped turning.  The Wal-mart employee had to come around and ask us if we were ready to buy our stuff   Their was no one behind us to get us moving...and I think she was tired of staring at the big futon box and not being able to charge us for it.  ROFL  I thought Rob and I were gonna die we were trying sooooooo hard not to laugh.

Oh my somebodys getting big!  Kaylin just picked a very nice matching outfit out and brought it over to me and ask if she could get dressed.  Yeah!  Now if I could just figure out how to get HD to match his clothes........

  • Okay Xanga is being a booger...my background and all my pictures are gone.  UGH!  I hope they come back soon.

Just finished school with Zeria.  She started out poubty, but things ended up going quite well.  We are now done with the letter F.  The program I use does the letters in a "unique" order.  So we have done the 3 a sounds, M, S and F.   She can already "read" a few words.    She is doing quite well.

The kids are now coloring, and then its nap time....my favorite time of day!!

I had a tummy bug & fever Friday.  And tummy part is still with me.  I am so tired of runnning to the baffroom.

DH and bil are going to be working and fixing the doors in our van.  We went and bought 2 used doors from the junk store and are replacing our driver & passenger doors with those.  Our electric windows don't work in our doors, and the passenger side door only opens from the outside.  The van is still in quite good repair...so we decided to do body work so we can stop opening the door to get stuff from the drive throughs in town.  Plus the fact that it gets VERY hot and stuffy in the car when you can't roll the windows down.

I so hope the doors go in without a hitch.

Well its nap time...and I have Nothing inspirational to say today...    So I guess I'm gonna go to sleep

  • Good afternoon   My kids are mostly still napping.  We had a nice Sunday.  Stayed for potluck and everything.

Last night we took the kids out to our favorite "fancy" restaurant to celebrate the 4 years.  I was talking to Zeria as we were waiting for the food..."Isn't this special I asked."  She answered...nah not really   Gotta love kids honesty.

The kids and I and my sister went to the park.  My sister is umm in todays venicular a hotty.    Some poor sap at the drive through at McD's got COMPLETELY mocked by us as a result.  He tried playing Mr. Unobvious while scoping out the babe in the seat next to me.  By putting his head out the window and looking around to see if their were any cars coming (He was NOT the one working the window)  And then discreetly (at least he thought so)  Checking out the babe in the van.  Oh my was he silly looking.  ROFL!!!  After he got back inside sis said "I wonder if he's aware of HOW FOOLISH he looks?"  We busted up laughing and laughed for over 5 minutes.  I guess you had to be there....

We also did the Wal-mart thing.  UMM the HD be my helper thing did NOT work.    Nor did any other of the ideas.  So we made HD ride in the cart which he thought was CRUEL and unusual punishment.  But oy with their being 5 attempted abductions of kids in the last month in my state he can NOT be allowed out of my sight so squished in the cart he went.

After dinner last night we took the kids to Dairy Queen.  And they each got to have their very first Sundae.  They thought that was the ultimate in coolness....could have skipped the fancy meal LOL...except MOMMY wanted prime rib

Getting inspired to do some painting in the nursery at church.  I know, I know I do NOT need another project...but I LOVE to paint...and the nursery's about 2 years over due for it..... If I did it I would do some kinda mural thing in it as well.  Any ideas???

  • 4 years ago this weekend my sister and I made a 5 hour drive which changed my life.

    I'd been alone.

    Single.

    And extremely bored.

The October before my parents had recieved a phone call saying that the adopted children that they had's Birthmom had had a little girl she was 5 months old.

Would my parents be able to take her or know any one who would.

My parents were unable to say yes.

But I was already planning on adopting.

I had not done the paper-work as I was trying to finish my house.

But this was a chance I did not want to miss.

So I rushed the paperwork through in order to get her....and then waited, and waited, and waited.

June of that year...I got another call.  The birth-mom had another baby a little boy...could I take him too.

I was scared to raise a boy on my own.

But God told me to do it.

I continued to wait.  And Thursday before Labor day weekend I was told to come get them.

My life has never never been the same.  And I can NOT imagine life without my Princess & Handsome Dude.
