Good evening

Well Zeria's birthday was a lot of fun yesterday. The party was a success.
And my oldest is now *gasp* 5 years old. How'd that happen???
It seems like yesterday I was rapidly transfering the car seats from my geo into my mom's van and rushing to the city she lived in early one afternoon because I'd finally been cleared to pick her up. I'd been waiting for 11 months to get her. I waited so long her brother was born...and was blessed with two babies instead of one.

I walked into the house of this stranger her foster mom to see this little 13 month old munchkin running around in the house throwing the toy I had bought for her and running and falling and running somemore. As near as I can remember she never did stop running. hehehe
She was a delight. And that night when I bent down over the foster moms change table to change Zeria and she giggled and reached for my hair which I was tickling her with I KNEW she was mine.
We had a 6 hour drive home the next day and she was such a angel the whole long hot trip.
My house has never been the same, and I'm so greatful for the gift God gave me of my oldest daughter.

Last night I let her stay up after the rest of the kids went to bed and she snuggled with me and told me the best part of her day was the slip & slide.
Zeria was SOOOOooo serious at her party. And so intense about the whole birthday thing. She got her first big girl bike, and some other little things. (lots of pony's from her friends). And my sister made the most adorable birthday cake for her.

Tomorrow my 'ils are coming for their yearly visit. My house is mostly ready, and what isn't ready my sister will do tomorrow. In the past the visits haven't been unqualified successes, so I really hope this one goes well.....
The theory is that fil is gonna do our wiring in our bedroom which means I'll get my new light fixture up, plus plugs ins etc. We splurged and bought a BEAUTIFUL light for our room. I can't wait to see it up
I'm gonna make a point of running away tomorrow, and sitting somewhere quiet and reading etc, before the 'ils come. I want things to be quiet and enjoyable.

Father God, give us peace, and rest. Please lift Rob up and encourage him to strive for you. IN your sons name, Amen
