Month: July 2002

  • The camping trip was fun   The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we did come back rested.  IT was a definite do again thing

I have tickets to fly to Alberta.  And I think all the details are worked out now.  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Its a complicated trip, as I have to take a ferry to get to the airport.  And I have to figure out how to get from the ferry to the airport.  And so on & so forth.  But I think with Rob's help we got the rest of the details worked out.

I'm feeling very stressed and trying hard to breathe in and out.

My mom is doing a little bit better in her grief.  She hero worshipped her dad, and I think is very shocked as to how upset she was when she heard the news.  My dad decided to take the whole family that's living at home up to Alberta and I think that made things much much easier on her.

My sister came over today and her son and my kids played.  It was nice and layed back.  I SHOULD go to the lake today, but it just feels like work.  So I'm just laying low instead.

Breathing, and getting prepped for a nasty trip to Alberta with a 3-month old.  (I have to change flights 3x to get to my destination)  Plus the ferry, and shuttle/taxi thing.  UGH UGH UGH.  Great parts of me think it would have been easier to drive.  But James is not legally ours yet and can't go over the border.  And anybody that I would have felt comfortable leaving him with is going to Canada.  Sooooo this is the best option, as I'm just not up to the drive by myself yet.

    Father God.... Help

  • Going to be missing for a couple more days.  We're headed out for a "mini-vacation"  We're gonna go to a KOA camping cabin about a half hour from here for a couple days.  Sorry I haven't blogged much, life just keeps getting more hectic and I'm having a hard time keeping up with it.

My grandpa died this morning, and I will be flying with Rainee to the funeral this coming weekend, so no idea if I'll blog between know and then.

He was ready to die, but my mom is taking it very hard, and I just feel like I need to be at the memorial service which is in Northern Alberta (Grande Prairie)

LIfe could slow down at anytime

  • The visit with the 'ils is going great.  And yep so far I'm kinda shocked.  hehehe

Today Rob and fil will do the wiring in our bedroom, and then I'll take pictures of the "finished" product.  Hopefully this means I get my new light fixture.  I bought this really pretty brass candle olbra thingy to go above our bed.

Mil had the grace to admit that she has made mistakes around the grandkids last night   And it was done in such a way we were all laughing.    Sooooooooooo things are definitely looking up.

Fil thinks its hillarous to point out theirs another seat in our van...so we must need another child to fill it.    NOT RIGHT NOW THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

Tonight we will do our date night with the 'ils.  And leave the kids with a baby-sitter.  They get to pick the restaurant.  We have three favorites, and couldn't decide which one to take them to.  LOL   The India Oven, The Korean Barbeque, or a Chinese Restaurant we looooooooooove.    Sorry Hope no Chestnut Cottage we took them their for breaky last time they were here

Its gonna be in the 90's today according to the weather man, so I think mil and I will take the kids up to the lake.

Zeria my 5 year old is JUMPING off the 8 foot high diving board.  :-O  I'm still kinda in shock over that.  She just walked to the end and jumped in.  I stay at the bottom just because its deep and she can't swim very well without her water wings.  She has NO fat.  So she sinks not floats.  She loves, loves, loves the water.  But I have no idea how to get her to swim ABOVE the water lol.  Any suggestions??

Father God thank you for things going so well yesterday.  And for Kaylin warming up to the grandparents much quicklier this time.  I pray that the trip will continue to go smoothly.  And that we will honor you in all we do.  In your sons name, Amen

  • Good evening

Well Zeria's birthday was a lot of fun yesterday.  The party was a success.    And my oldest is now *gasp* 5 years old.  How'd that happen???

It seems like yesterday I was rapidly transfering the car seats from my geo into my mom's van and rushing to the city she lived in early one afternoon because I'd finally been cleared to pick her up.  I'd been waiting for 11 months to get her.  I waited so long her brother was born...and was blessed with two babies instead of one.

I walked into the house of this stranger her foster mom to see this little 13 month old munchkin running around in the house throwing the toy I had bought for her and running and falling and running somemore.   As near as I can remember she never did stop running.  hehehe

She was a delight.  And that night when I bent down over the foster moms change table to change Zeria and she giggled and reached for my hair which I was tickling her with I KNEW she was mine.

We had a 6 hour drive home the next day and she was such a angel the whole long hot trip.

My house has never been the same, and I'm so greatful for the gift God gave me of my oldest daughter.

Last night I let her stay up after the rest of the kids went to bed and she snuggled with me and told me the best part of her day was the slip & slide.

Zeria was SOOOOooo serious at her party.  And so intense about the whole birthday thing.  She got her first big girl bike, and some other little things.  (lots of pony's from her friends).  And my sister made the most adorable birthday cake for her.

Tomorrow my 'ils are coming for their yearly visit.  My house is mostly ready, and what isn't ready my sister will do tomorrow.  In the past the visits haven't been unqualified successes, so I really hope this one goes well.....

The theory is that fil is gonna do our wiring in our bedroom which means I'll get my new light fixture up, plus  plugs ins etc.  We splurged and bought a BEAUTIFUL light for our room.  I can't wait to see it up

I'm gonna make a point of running away tomorrow, and sitting somewhere quiet and reading etc, before the 'ils come.  I want things to be quiet and enjoyable.

Father God, give us peace, and rest.  Please lift Rob up and encourage him to strive for you.  IN your sons name, Amen

  • Good morning

Well I got my wish and got to swim up at the lake with Alicia and her kids.

Last night was supposed to be our date night, and Rob got very sick AFTER we left home.  So I did some errands while he sat in the car wanting to puke.  I HAD to do the errands, so hurried as much as I could.

Tonight we're gonna try again.  We just really need a "us" time.  The stress of the lack of a decision about Jamari's permancy, and just our lives gives us major need for it.

I'm still in my pjs at 10 to 12 because I've just felt soooo lazy/tired.  I guess I used up all my energy yesterday.

We found homes for two of our kittys yesterday.  So we're down to 4.  (YEAH!)  This without ever advertising them.   We have 3 males left...and one we can't catch to determine the sex.     Sooooo we may just keep them.  They are outside cats and excellent mousers.

Father God, with what's left of this day let us honor you.  Let me rely on you for the energy to do what is needed in your sons name, Amen

  •   Look whose 3 months old

These are   a little blurry because they only give the low-resolution pictures...but I think they'll turn out quite nicely.

  • Good morning

Welllll I found this amazing burst of energy hehehe.

And this morning we fixed the trampoline (stupid mommy staked the pony to it to eat grass and stupid pony pulled the legs off it.  ),  We cleaned the living room (i.e. put away mucho junk).  Finished cleaning my bedroom (yeah!)  And Rob is in process of taking a dump run, so our yard looks clean again.  (YEAH!!!)  All that's left on the outside is the beautiful crop of dandy lions that is disguised as our lawn.    Rob can do that today, or tomorrow, lots of time its only 11:30.

I have a ton of laundry to do...but I ALWAYS do LOL, so that will get done when it gets done.

I have a plan for Zeria's birthday, and have invited the guests.  So that is also taken care of.  We're gonna have a slip & slide party....just gotta go buy the slide tonight   Oh, and Zeria's birthday present too LOL.

But this afternoon my only plan is the lake.  And hopefully meeting up with Alicia my online friend.  Except she's not home right now.  (growl)  One of these days I'll get her up there.

Oh did you know if you turn your music up loud enough you can't hear your kids crying   They were doing the its late and I'm cranky thing after church last night.  So I CRANKED the country music station and we all started dancing as much as you can strapped down by seat belts to Crazy about a mercury.    Okay, I slightly lost it, but it was much, much better then listening to the whining, crying etc.  And I think they officially know now that their mother is insane.

Zeria has decided it is okay to kiss the baby kittys because they don't have mouse's in their tummy's yet only mommy milk.  :-O    Still trying to digest that one....pun intended.

Father God, thank you for the burst of energy.  I pray that we will honor you as we go throughout this day, and keep our lives focused on you.  I pray for wisdom in dealing with all the details of our life.  In your sons name, Amen

Oops forgot I also put the first coat of paint on the outside wall of our bedroom...about a 20 minute job.   Does this mean our bedroom is getting cloooooooose to being done??

  • WOOO hoooo I found my ability to care    I actually made my bed this morning haven't done that in a week.  LOL

I guess it paid off to be lazy yesterday.  Which is a good thing 'cause my 'ils are gonna be here next Saturday.  And Zeria's gonna be 5 on Thursday and I promised her a birthday party...which I've made absolutely NO plans for Conveniently Zeria's birthday is the same day we're gonna find out the judge's decision.

I would sure like my house clean/organized before the 'ils get here...what do you think the chances are??????

Father God, I thank you for this day, and I ask that things continue to flow smoothly.  I pray that you will give us the energy to get at least the dirt cleaned up around here before Saturday, in your sons name, Amen

  • Mornin'

We had a nice day at the lake yesterday after I got done grocery shopping and taking Rainee to the doctor.

Rainee is officially on a long-term asthma med.  (Pulmicort.)

We have no word about the final decision with James.  The final statements were made yesterday, but the judge didn't have time to make his ruling.  We have to wait until next Thursday for that.

    #$@*#($*&@#*(#&$(@*#&$(@*#&$(@*#&$

Don't they know that their's a life at stake here????

    Enough said.

We have water, WE have water WE HAVE water WE HAVE WATER!!!

The kids turned a valve off on our pump   So a service call to turn it on and yes we have running water again.  I LOVE flushing toilets

Today I have a bazillion and one things to do.  And all I want to do is sit.  I may just go for the sit thing.  I haven't sat in days LOL

Father God, guide our steps today, and lead us where we should be.  Give Rob the energy to work, and me the strength to take care of the kids.  In your sons name, Amen

  • Howdy folks.  I'm tired beyond all imagination.  And incredibly weepy.  Life has just been too hard this week.  Plus I ran out of Paxil and didn't have the time to pick it up before I went down to testify.    And I proved I still need it according to the crappy way I feel.

Oh and on top of testifying and Rainee's breathing being really really bad.....Our pump quit (we think)  So we have absolutely NO water in our house.  Rob is driving to the creek to get water to flush the toilet with....and bought drinking water.  As a result the laundry that hasn't been done ALL week had to go to the laundromat today.  (12 loads worth)  The good news is that means it was done in two hours.  The bad news means it had to be hauled in & out in & out.  (yucky, yucky, yucky)

We don't know how the hearing went as it is not over yet.  So we're waiting and its not a lot of fun.  I wish I could go into details but its not a good idea on the world wide web.  Just pray ok?

We did have a nice drive down to the testifying.  And stayed in a very nice motel 10 feet from the ocean.  We got up very early in the morning and drove along the coast for awhile before cutting across to the city the hearing was in.  I'd put up pictures but xanga's being a bugger.

Rainee's having trouble again so I better go get her.
