So what did I do yesterday? WEll I dug ditches. We had ditches already. But after 5 or 6 or 7 days of rain (can't remember anymore lol) The ditches were ummm overflowing and running into our house. The first picture is a NEW ditch. We didn't realize that the natural slope of the hill sent the piles of water headed right down into our shed. I went up the hill after church and after tucking babies in bed to get the shovel, so as to remove the 5 inches of water sitting where my deck is and found water threatening to rush into the shed. Soooo with a little help from me we now have this lovely creek coming down our hill. So after poor Rob dug ditches until 10 pm last night (after the SS program) guess what it did this morning????? Yep it snowed :-p
Oh and I love digging ditches.
Remember the earlier pictures of our bridge. UMM this is why we have to have one. This was the first ditch to run over. Its kind of a beautiful picture if it weren't for the fact that this lovely creek is running less then 5 feet from my house & deck. snicker.
I love WAshington.
We currently have 4 creeks running in our yard. LOL. Beautiful ones at that. The crazy thing is in the summer time you would think we live in the driest spot in the world. But well because water has to get off the mountain top someway....it does it however it can.
