  • Good morning.  Rob is off as usual today.  And payday is today.  So I get to go do the bimonthly grocery shopping trip.  Which I'm just so looking forward to.  NOT!  No matter how careful of a list I make I always forget something obvious you know like milk or butter or something LOL

I'm going to purchase the ingredients for Daisybliss' Lava Rocks & give them a try for the mother daughter Christmas tea.

My husband is gonna build me a stable for my nativity scene.  I bought it in November our house is right along side our county road & I've been wanting a outdoor one for awhile.  So hopefully I get to put it up today.    Its a VERY small testimony of the real reason we celebrate Christmas.

I found my missing nativity scene.  So I have all 3 up finally.  Plus the majority of my other Christmas decorations (everything but the tree)  Once the trees up I'll see if I can put a few more lights up, but we have a 12 foot ceiling so I need the lights up on that first so I know how much I have left   We can't afford to buy new this year as we're cutting corners in the desperate hope we get to pick up James before Christmas so need to keep the money budgeted for that trip.

I have a HUGE mouse collection.  Most of which is in storage.  But I put all my Christmas mice up last night.  And this morning my kids put all my stuffed animal mice on the stairs.  Zeria is a good decorator and understood right away and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Samuel well he's a man-child   so umm he didn't get it.  But he had fun.  He kept trying to line them all the way across a step.  Which means of course you can't get up that step.  snicker

Speaking of laughing at Samuel.  We have a budding song writer in our midst.  And I thought Rob & I were gonna die laughing last night in the car.  He's back there singing and here's the words.  One little duck went out to play he saw a skinny little duck with feathers on its back feathers on its back feathers on its back.

The beginning of the song is of course from Barney...the ending well its all Samuel

I had a long talk with my Sunday School teacher after church.  She came to find out how the additions to my family were coming along & where I'd been during SS.  (blushing)  So I shared some stuff with her and we ended up talking for about 15-20 minutes.  Much to my kids irritation LOL  She has a "big" family for the generation she was in so understood my frustration.  Wasn't aware however of the comments I'd received.  Anyhow it was a good conversation.  And I'm still working on my attitude and will probably try to go next week...except next week I play piano instead of keyboard so may have to skip legitimately in order to practice.

Well should probably write that grocery list & get outa here.  So ttyl

Father God, I ask that you would help me as I shop to make the right purchases for my family.  To not overspend, and to remember the important things.  I'd really like to find a Christmas dress for Zeria that's reasonably priced.  so I ask that you would guide me in that.  I ask for the energy to do everything that needs to be done...and for Rob's patience as he's home with the kids.   I pray for Zeria that she would have a good attitude when she's asked not to do something.  And that Samuel & Kaylin would not be whiney today.  In your sons name.  Amen

  •  I pray that you have a wonderful day. I pray that you remember to get everything you need. I pray that you get James real soon. I'm glad that you had a good talk with your SS teacher, it can help big time.

  • When I go shopping I always come home with more then what is on the list. Thats with the help of the girls. LOL. I am going to put up my christmas lights today along with rest of the christmas things. Have a good day. :)

  • I always forget something too, no matter how long or detailed the list---that's life. Take a shot of that stable when Rob gets it built.

  • I collect snowmen. I put all of them out this weekend, too. I just love them!

Here's hopes that you get James for Christmas!
